    Several OS Sins crash

Post by Zeomak on 2011-06-24, 1:25 pm

I give up... seriously... I've read every Thread in the Bug report forum and still I have no solution for this...

I've tried Windows XP(prof), Windows Vista (Home), Win 7 Ultimate (32bit)

I've reinstalled C++ redist and Netframework several times....

The Problem is (more detailed then ever following):

I install my OS, Install all my drivers, Install c++ redis and netframe 4.0

copy my Perfect World international directory from my USB hard Drive to my internal Hard Drive.

install WinRar and then download Sins and unpack it. After startig it and configuring my Username, password and the Perfect World game Directory. Result:

Windows XP: SINS.EXE has caused an Error and had to be stopped.

Windows Vista: SINS.EXE has stopped working

Windows 7: SINS.EXE has stopped working

SINS itself works fine. it starts up ok, but as soon as it tries 2 hook to the game, the error above pops up and SINS closes.

This problem means Netframe 4.0 did not work on your computer. If you had instaled it successfully then I would recommend you do the window update.

If it still happens, then report here, we can find out together.

PS: couple days ago it took me 8 hours to solve the same problem.

Ok working on it right now. I have a original Win7 Starter Key but no DVD (Key came with my netbook) so I had 2 download a DVD first. Now installing Net Framework and C++ Redis.

(Had to do it this way cause u recommended Windows update, and I don't really want 2 do that with a cracked version of Windows so now I'm using my Netbooks Win 7 Starter Key on my Desktop PC and activated it. Since I never used Win 7 on my netbook but directly installed XP this Key is fresh so I was kinda lucky ^^" Reporting back if it works in a few minutes.)

Update: I installed C++ Redis and Netframework 4.0 but SINS still crashes. (even so it doesn't show that msg anymore. Well that could be cause its WIndows 7 STarter and not Ultimate. Doing a WIndows Update atm)

    Update 2: Finished Windows Update:

IT seemed like sin is working well because the client was attached. Nothing to do with Netframe and C++ now.

What you need to do now is to remove your antivirus.

PS: did you try to debug your elementclient.exe for camera zoom before? if yes, please get the original one because sin will not recognize the data from debuged file.

hope it will help you. If not , please let me know

Debug it 4 Camera zoom? U mean if I tried 2 apply Zoomhack? No I didn't. I installed a fresh Perfect World just to test it, and doesn't work.

Antivirus Software isn't installed. This Windows installation is for the sole purpose of getting SINS 2 work. Nothin else.

I even deactivated Windows Defender and Windows Firewall.

And the thing mentioned before in another thread with 125% Zoom, well mine is set on default ergo 100%

Oooook, tried on Windows XP again. (other Hard Disk). I have the most recent Net framework and C++ Redis. (If I try to instal those from the SINS Release thread it says that a more recent Version has been detected)

Yep tried it. But as soon as SINS attaches, it crashes. It's sad but no matter what I try I can't seem 2 get SINS to work. I thought it might have something to do with my Computer, but I tried it on my Netbook and the result is the same.

Only Operating Systems I have here, which Ihavn't ried yet are:

    XandrOS
    Ubuntu 10.10
    Win 95
    Win 98
    Win 3.11 (xD)

And I don't think those would work at all.Well and maybe Windows Vista Pro... Only tried with the Home version, but the Pro Versions crack fkd up my BIOS last time. According 2 it we were in the year 0.....

It's not your computer, it's not SINS; it's the game.
I don't have time to update the new data for new client PWI.

Looks like it. Seems like we have 2 wait till August since the data for these games was not updated. SINS crashes just like b4. But well if vuduy has Real Life stuff 2 do, it can't be helped. Remember this is more like a hobby for him.
