    self buff trigger question

Post by xjiyo on 2011-02-13, 9:10 pm

say, i like my character to self buff but only when the character don't have that buff activated or only when the buff runs off, how do i set the trigger conditions?

reason: buff spam drains mana quickly and its a waste, i don't mind auto potting but not that quickly and wastefully...

    what i tried:

    1) skill description[self][instant]>common>self>status effect>does not contains>value[id][more] = spam buff even buff is active

    2) skill description[self][instant]>common>self>status effect>contains>value[id][more] = spam buff even buff is active

    3) skill description[self]>common>self>status effect>contains>value[id][more] = spam buff even buff is active

    4) skill description[self]>common>self>status effect>contains>value[id][equal] = does not buff

    5) skill description[self]>common>self>status effect>contains>value[id][more] = spam buff even buff is active

i've tried other things but i still can't make it the way i want it to be..it works well in the old sin bot coz of its timer.....any1 have a a way to do this?...

instant are not for buffs do not use it

    an example def buff self

    target:self
    player:self-status effect:does not contains value:10(toughen)

this setup rebuff only when buff goes off same works for party just change target to player and any party member

this doesn't work either, this still spam the buff every time the skill cools down...

no lol the trigger alpha said about is when the buff no longer contain its rebuff without spamming:
    do like that:
Common>Self>Status effect>does not contain>Value: put the ID of the buff...
    AND DONT DO "INSTANT"

    nice

problem is i cannot find the buff id, only the skill ID register in sins so thats what i put...buff ID doesn't appear on status tab (i think its where its supposed to be)..is this a bug or i'm doing something wrong?....

    PS. this is for PW-Ph

data viewer>status, there u got all the status ids after using a buff, then just set status effect>does not contain> id of status , for example teamwork skill, it's a clan skill that increces sp, teamwork id is 443, after u use teamwork the character gets a status named teamwork which id is 75, so in this case you should use self>status efect>does not contain>75 and sins will use the skill when you don't have that status efect

as i said the sins doesn't register the buff id even if i cast if manually...so instead i put the skill id following (self>status efect>does not contain>[skill id (i input skill id which is supposed to be the buff id)]....so i ask again, is this a bug?

    PS. im playing PW-ph

that could be a bug cause in JD there are triggers that make me problems i mean when i did buff triggers some other triggers didnt worked, and when i deleted them it works fine..
so try to delete all the triggers and add just the buffs you want im sure it will work but when you add more triggers it will stop working

I think u should find the buff effect in status, not the skill.
    I tried and it worked.

yeah,i tried looking in the STATUS tab...again, the sins doesn't register the BUFF ID even if i cast the skill manually...this maybe only in PW-Ph because it seems to be working fine in other sins supported games....

if u buff for example vim cherubs song, it has the skill id 262 @ me
but the status me get is Slam(Status ID=9) and Increased Health(Status ID=23)

so me have to set the trigger
Player -> Self -> Status effect -> does not contain 9 or 23

Also Skill ID and Status ID is not the same
For example Courage have skill ID 220 and Status ID 115

Hope this will help u a lil bit

Translation Problem may be with "Life together, Die together" (ClanSkill)
Skillname is here "Share Life and Death" ID 442
And Statusname is here "Live and Die together" ID 73

from what i understand, on PW-Ph sins isn't learning any status ids so data viewer>status doesn't show anything for him
